Friends, that response is absolute hogwash of the highest order! If there is no market for The Grateful Dead then why in the hell is Rhino investing so many resources in it. If young Jason feels the way he does about the presupposed "GEEZERS" then why would the boy hold the position he does. Gentelmen, that is a clandestine cop-out and I will not stand for such a statement from young Jason. Big Dan speaks his mind boys, and as usual I appreciate your good taste and hospitality.

I'll see you boys in the funny papers

Hmmm…. I don’t know you or Jason, but it seems like you personally may have issues with him. I won’t engage in a tit-for-tat argument since I’m not passionate on this issue. I just thought it a bit odd to see a poster out of nowhere providing a personal email and encouraging people to voice displeasure to Jason. Rhino is a corporation, and the band entered into a business relationship with Rhino. Individual employees, and their positions within the company, are an internal matter to Rhino. I would be more open to your post had you not singled out an individual, and just left it at encouraging folks to email a generic rhino address. Giving feedback to the company is entirely appropriate, but singling out one person as the bad guy seems in bad taste. Besides, if he’s in the position you say he is, I wouldn’t be surprised if he reads these forum posts - especially after new Rhino releases - in which case he’s getting plenty of positive & negative feedback already.

Exactly. I could not be less interested in harrassing a guy who seems not to be the one who pulls the trigger on releases anyway. Even if he does make the big decisions, my feelings about the matter don't really get any stronger than "I didn't buy the June '74 Road Trips release." Once I got done not buying it, I was totally emotionally drained, nothing left to give. I felt much better.
